Chad Albert is an experienced litigator who has handled some of the firm’s most prominent securities litigation matters, Board and special committee assignments, and securities-related white collar representations.

In recent years, Mr. Albert has defended numerous corporations against federal securities class actions, and current representations include a worldwide media conglomerate, a leading cryptocurrency foundation, and a major cannabis company. Mr. Albert has also handled private litigations involving complex securities issues in various trial and appellate courts.

In addition, Mr. Albert has counseled companies, Boards of Directors, and independent Board committees in connection with internal investigations, shareholder demands, and derivative actions. Mr. Albert currently represents a demand review committee of the Board of a leading global private equity firm, as well as a special litigation committee of the Board of a Fortune 500 technology firm, in connection with various shareholder matters involving allegations of insider trading, accounting fraud, and securities violations.

Mr. Albert also represents individuals and companies in connection with investigations and proceedings by the U.S. Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, often developing strategies in crisis environments to address critical regulatory and enforcement risk.

Mr. Albert clerked for the Hon. Deborah L. Cook of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Albert practiced at Covington & Burling LLP, where he focused on complex civil trial and appellate litigation. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School (cum laude), where he served as Executive Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and Tufts University (magna cum laude). He has been recognized in Lawdragon’s 2023 “The Next Generation” guide, and in Benchmark Litigation’s 2023 “40 and Under” list of the “top emerging talent in litigation.”
